
Purpose
The purpose of this module is to provide information and content related to Academic Writing. Aiming to expand the knowledge base and capacity of pre-professionals, educators, and service providers, this module embeds the following topics:
- Forms and Styles of Academic Writing
- Highly Effective Writing Habits
- Knowing Your Audience
- Structuring Your Justification
- Conveying Your Methods & Reporting Your Findings
- Translating Findings to Policy and Practice

Objectives
As a result of active participation and successful completion of course requirements, students will be able to:
- Identify and evaluate appropriate journals for manuscript submission based on scope, audience, and impact.
- Develop sustainable writing habits and apply strategies for overcoming common barriers to productivity.
- Compose a well-structured introduction that situates research within theoretical and empirical contexts.
- Write a replicable methods section that clearly articulates research design, sampling, and analytic procedures.
- Present results effectively, organizing findings in alignment with journal conventions and research questions.
- Engage in scholarly peer review, providing constructive feedback modeled on journal standards.
